The Founders
After ten years in New York City, we knew we wanted a different pace and a life built around the thing that’s always connected us most: travel. In 2021, we left our careers, packed our lives into a few suitcases, and moved to Portugal.
We spent months exploring the country before settling in Ericeira, a small fishing village on the Atlantic, about 40 minutes north of Lisbon. Living here reshaped how we think about great trips: less of a checklist, more feeling—great food, personal connections, time outside, and places that make you slow down.
Our love for travel started long before we began planning it for others. Katie’s curiosity for culture and place took hold during a summer in Croatia at 20, living and working with a family-run wine producer. Teddy’s came from surf trips through Central America: simple days built around the ocean and local culture. Since then, we’ve traveled together across North America, Africa, Europe and Asia, always drawn to the full spectrum: the grit and energy of a night market, and the calm of a beautiful hotel—like a riad in Marrakech or a ryokan in Japan.
Today, we bring that same range, and the same care to our clients. We design trips that balance iconic moments with the smaller ones: the hidden neighborhood, the meal you talk about for months, the logistics handled so you can actually be present. Sharing the gift of travel is personal for us, and nothing beats hearing the joy a trip brought to someone’s life.

“Amber Fern” embodies the transformative nature of travel. Inspired by a hike in Madeira’s Laurisilva Forest, where native ferns shifted from deep amber to a lush green, this image left a lasting impression and became a symbol of the transformation travel can spark. Amber Fern has been awarded as a Fora Centum honoree, which recognizes the top 100 agencies globally.
